Peter Malette

After successfully retiring from a 22 year career with the Law Enforcement Division of the Michigan DNR serving as both a field Conservation Officer and Sergeant, Pete is now the supervising officer for the Recreation Enforcement Unit of the Iosco County Sheriff’s Office. He has been involved in program development and instruction in the field of snowmobile, Off Road Vehicle, and boat operation and enforcement since the late 1980’s. He has been an instructor for the last 4 DNR Recruit Conservation Officer schools and has also instructed at the Michigan Sheriff’s Association Marine Officer School and a variety of Michigan law enforcement officer schools in the field of ORV and snowmobile operation.

Warren MacNeill

Former U.S. Marine infantry man, Warren has over 30 years experience in the operation and training of ATV and off road vehicles.  He started with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in 1990 as a wild land fire fighter/equipment operator, moving to Law Enforcement in 1993.  In 1996 he became the Department's lead driving instructor.  In this position, Warren oversees the training and equipment needs for 4X4/off-road operations, ATV recruit training and snowmobile training.

Warren is the Director of field training for SPECVOC.  He has participated in multiple training schools relating to ATV, motor vehicles and snowmobiles and boats.  He is past recipient of the State of Michigan Medal of Valor and the Department of Natural Resource's Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
